Working comfortably while enjoying the resort experience – that's the unique resort workation offered by kanucha.

Stimulating the five senses in nature, a resort ‘workation’ unique to Kanucha.

Approximately 80 minutes by car from Naha Airport (using the highway), Kanucha Resort is located on the tranquil east coast, surrounded by rich subtropical nature, distinct from the atmosphere of the west coast. Situated in a vast area of 800,000 square meters, this secluded haven offers not only a golf course but provides a unique resort workation experience allowing you to comfortably work while enjoying the resort life away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

As you pass through the gates of Kanucha Resort, immediately climb the hill to the right, and you will come across the Magnolia Building. On the 2nd floor of this building, you will find the 'Kanuchaian Resort Office.' While the primary users are guests staying at Kanucha Resort, drop-in usage is also available for those not staying at the resort. Feel free to make a reservation by phone or visit the reception directly. The drop-in usage fee is the same as for overnight guests however parking is free.

Check in and receive your key card at the counter in front of the 1st-floor Resort Amusement Lounge 'LUPiNUS.' Once you have the key card, proceed to the 2nd floor.

The coworking space features 20 spacious individual desks arranged radially, each equipped with power outlets. Alternatively, a theater-style setup with chairs alone can accommodate up to 50 seats. With an open design, showcasing the natural wood textures and unobstructed views of the subtropical greenery outside. The space allows you to experience the resort ambiance while productively working. The gentle lighting and the absence of partitions contribute to the unique atmosphere that is distinctly Kanucha.

There is one telephone booth available which can be utilized for phone calls or Zoom meetings that require privacy and cannot be conducted in the open workspace.

There are three personal rooms, each with spacious desks and power outlets. Adjacent to each private room is a small room with a multifunction printer, accessible to users.

There is also a Multi Room, serving as a multipurpose space, this typically accommodates 20 seats, however, by rearranging the desks, it can be expanded to accommodate up to 36 seats for meetings and other events. The space is equipped with a large screen for presentations with PC connectivity, as well as audio facilities and microphones, making it suitable for seminars, events, meetings, and more.

The room can also be divided into three separate spaces, allowing versatile usage for activities such as corporate training and team building.

Workation usage increases from October, Okinawa’s off-season. There is a growing trend in exclusive bookings by groups during this period. Various industries, including IT companies, consulting firms, and construction companies, find the resort conducive for their needs. Many companies use the location for team-building activities.

With a commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the Yanbaru Forest, which has been recognized as a World Heritage site, there is a focus on sustainable tourism to avoid over-tourism. Additionally, the resort has become a platform for information dissemination, attracting international visitors as well. It serves as a space for learning about regional issues and problem-solving, making it an integral part of corporate training programs.

Not just work – unique activity experiences offered by the resort hotel

When taking a workation in Okinawa, indulging in the leisure activities unique to a resort is definitely a must.

At Kanucha Resort, there are over 70 activity programs, including SUP yoga, aerial yoga, and tent saunas during the off-season. The on-site dining options are diverse, offering Japanese, Western, Chinese, and, of course, Okinawan cuisine. Additionally, there are various spaces like barbecue terraces, cafes, and bars, where you can enjoy a wide range of dishes crafted using locally sourced ingredients.

In recent times, there has been a growing trend of families visiting Okinawa during their children's long vacations, such as summer or winter breaks, combining workation with family travel. Families with elementary school-aged children or older can use the coworking spaces together – parents for work, and children for homework. After finishing work, the family can enjoy activities like viewing illuminations or going on a drive. With childcare facilities available, even families with young children can comfortably enjoy their stay.

Additionally, during the winter season, the expansive 800,000 square meters of grounds come to life with a dazzling illumination display known as 'Kanucha Stardust Fantasia.' This enchanting experience is exclusively available to guests for free, while non-staying visitors can enjoy it at a rate of 3,000 yen per car.

Resort Amusement Lounge「LUPiNUS」

The 1st floor of the newly opened Magnolia Building in 2022, named 'LUPiNUS,' is an amusement lounge that caters to both children and adults. It is divided into four zones: the Bar Area, Amusement Area, Library & Kids Area, and the Forest Secret Base Area. Among them, the Forest Secret Base,  is highly recommended appealing to the sense of adventure and exploration for visitors of all ages.

With images of the forest displayed on a large screen and healing lounge music created by sampling the sounds of the Yanbaru forest set around a real fire rather than LED, listening feels like being in the heart of the subtropical woods. Immersed in the lounge's original aroma blend released by diffusers, you find yourself sinking into Yogibo cushions, creating an exquisite relaxation experience. Meetings and brainstorming sessions in such an environment may spark new and creative ideas.

With a wide array of options available, you can mix and match to create your ideal workation experience

Surprisingly, Kanucha Resort is easily accessible

For convenient access from the airport to Kanucha Resort, we recommend using a rental car. By utilizing Kanucha Rent-a-Car located just 3 minutes away from the airport with a shuttle bus, you can complete both the car rental process and hotel check-in simultaneously, significantly reducing the overall procedure time.

Furthermore, if you take the Okinawa West Coast Road and head north on National Route 58 through Nago, you can enjoy a scenic drive with a tropical resort feel. During off-peak hours, exploring the Yanbaru region by car is also a delightful option. The eastern route is known for its tranquility and minimal traffic, providing a leisurely and relaxed journey.

If you prefer not to use a rental car, the Kanucha Shuttle Bus offers a convenient option. For a fare of 2,200 yen for adults and 1,100 yen for children, you can travel directly from the airport without transfers. The bus route includes stops at Naha Bus Terminal and Wansaka Oura Park, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free journey taking approximately 100 minutes. Whether you're traveling alone or don't have a driver's license, the bus provides a reassuring alternative.
